The Basics of Jazz music
The Jazz era began in the early 20th centery within African-American community located in the southern United States. The African music culture has many unique characteristics such as the use of blue notes ( notes that were sung slightly below the major scale), improvisation, syncopation, and swung note. Jazz music took to these charateristics aswell as musical element popular during the early twenties.
